Dr. Jan Willem Gratama is the first to be awarded the ESCCA honorary membership for his participation in foundation of ESCCA and his continued support for its development, as well as for his great contribution to the field of clinical cell analysis. 

At ESCCA 2018 in Valencia, Spain, awarded ESCCA honorary members were Katherina Psarra, Enrique Jose O'Connor and Stefano Papa for their participation in the foundation of ESCCA and their continued support for its development.

At ESCCA 2019 in Bergen, Norway, Bruno Brando was awarded with the ESCCA honorary membership for his continuous work for and support of ESCCA.

At ESCCA 2023 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Frank Preijers was awarded with the ESCCA honorary membership in recognition of his outstanding scientific contribution to the field, and his great commitment and dedication to ESCCA in his capacity as ESCCA Treasurer, Board member, Organising Committee & Scientific Committee member.

At ESCCA 2024 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Claudio Ortolani in recognition of his outstanding scientific contribution to the field and with gratitude for his immense contribution and support to ESCCA.
